NECI NMK: Debate on the Topic "Combined Teaching"
After the successfully organized workshop on "Youth and European values" on Thursday, September 10, 2020 NECI NMK held a debate
with the same participants with the participation of teachers from primary and secondary schools.
Speakers at the debate were Vanesa Krsteva - member of NECI and vice president of the Union of High School Students and Goran Kavrakov, director of the music school.
The speakers debated and compared online teaching in European countries and in our country. Vanessa talked about her experience with distance learning so far and as a representative of the high school students shared the anomalies we face and their optimal solution - combined teaching.
Also, a comparison was made with the European countries where teaching is refused flawlessly, without obstacles and with physical presence. On the other hand, the director of the music school as a more specific sphere of education where daily practice is needed from the experience so far says that for their school physical presence is essential and that they work on preparing a plan with fulfilled conditions. National competitions have so far been held online, which is not even close to the authentic.
Finally, a discussion was opened with the audience and the professors, and they, as direct stakeholders, talked about how they coped with the new situation. The conclusion from the debate of high school students and teachers was that teaching should start with physical presence.
