Round table on the topic "Socio-economic integration of vulnerable youth"

Coalition SEGA, in cooperation with SOS Children's Village, within the project "Strengthening Youth through New Opportunities (YEEP)"

on July 12 organized a round table on the topic "Socio-economic integration of vulnerable youth."

On the round table there were discussed and collected recommendations on issues related to the socio-economic integration of vulnerable youth, as well as presented the recommendations gathered from the consultations held with young people on employment issues and youth policies.

The round table will help raise awareness among key stakeholders in the country to adequately support the socio-economic integration of vulnerable young people and develop concrete recommendations on how to improve the support and services offered by governments and civil society organizations for vulnerable youth.

The project "Strengthening Youth through New Opportunities " is implemented in 4 cities in Macedonia, including Prilep and aims to strengthen at least 50 young people at social risk in the city and the surrounding area, aged 16-35, including young people leaving alternative care institutions. The project aims to increase their employment opportunities through capacity building, vocational training and employment counseling. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and Hermann Gmeiner Dochland e.V. In Macedonia, this project is implemented by SOS Children's Village, and in Prilep the project is implemented in partnership with the Coalition of Youth Organizations SEGA.
