On-Line Questionnaire on the Opinion Of The Young People in the Process of Creating the Ethical Code for Youth Worker
Coalition of youth organizations SEGA in cooperation with the Agency for Youth and Sport is implementing the project "Youth Workers for Youth".
The project is implemented with the support of the National Agency for European Educational Programs and Mobility through the Erasmus + Key Action 3 program (Structural Dialogue). The goal of this project is to influence youth participation in democratic life by promoting the role of the Youth Worker. The approach we are proposing is based on recognizing the role of the Youth Worker as a separate profession, as well as developing the "Ethical Code for Youth Workers", which will standardize the professional skills in the services they provide for young people. At the end of February 2018 within the project, in Skopje, a National Workshop was held with decision-makers at national level.
The purpose of this workshop was a discussion of defining recommendations for improvement of youth work in Macedonia, i.e. discussion about the youth worker's profession and its recognition, as well as future systematization of jobs for the occupation of a youth worker. In the period from May 16 - 19, 2018, the main activity in the project will be implemented, as well as a three day workshop for creating a document "Ethical Code for a Youth Worker", which will be held in Struga. A total of 45 participants will take part in this workshop (young people between the ages of 18 - 29 and decision makers). Current activity within this project is an online questionnaire that is intended for young people in order to give several opinions about the youth worker as an ethical profession. The main focus is on creating the "Ethical Code for a Youth Worker" -a document which will help to review the opinions of young people if such an official document exists. Will they have more confidence in Youth Workers that should address questions and information from their interest. For that purpose, we invite young people to take their time and fill out the online questionnaire on the following LINK.
