Intercultural Exchange Held in Children Village Pestalozzi

In the period from 5th to 19th November an Intercultural Exchange with a group of 40 children from Croatia and 40 children from Macedonia

from 5 primary schools: "OU Koco Racin" from Prilep, OU "Kuzman Josifoski" from Skopje, OU."Dimitar Vlahov" from Shtip, OU "Tosho Velkov Pepeto" from Kavadarci and OU "Bratstvo Edinstvo (Penestia)" from Debar.

The purpose of the exchange is to provide participants with knowledge and skills related to children's rights, the principles of intercultural dialogue and communication, anti-discrimination, mutual understanding, respect, identity, stereotypes and tolerance of values across cultures.

In the end of the exchange, participants prepared action plans that will be implemented in their schools, in order to impact their knowledge to their peers on the topics they manage during the exchange, while at the same time remember the wonderful moments during the workshops.

In the weekends, participants make excursions and visited the cities Zurich and Luzern, also the visited Rainfall, Santis der Berg and Technorama Swiss science museum.

The intercultural exchange is part of the project "Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in Macedonia", implemented by the Coalition of youth organizations SEGA with the support of the Pestalozzi Children's Foundation
