Coalition of youth organizations SEGA in the period from May 16 - 19, 2018, in  hotel Biser, Struga, held  National Workshop

for Creating a Code of Ethics for Youth Workers. 45 participants took part at the event (youth aged 15 - 30 years and decision makers). This event was created in order to establish communication between youth and decision-makers in order to improve youth work and youth participation in Macedonia through the profession Youth Worker. As a final result of the project, "Ethical Code for a Youth Worker" will be prepared. The prepared final document SEGA will formally submit to the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Bureau for Development of Education, the Center for Vocational Education, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, faculties and schools, as well as the Local Self-Government. The National Workshop is part of the Youth Workers for Youth project.

The goal of this project is to influence youth participation in democratic life by promoting the role of the Youth Worker. The approach we propose is based on recognizing the role of youth worker as a separate profession, as well as developing the "Ethical Code for Youth Workers", which will standardize the professional skills, knowledge and skills of youth workers in the services they provide for young people. The project is supported by the National Agency for European Educational Programs and Mobility within the ERASMUS + Program, Key Action 3 (Structured Dialogue).
